This role will also develop content to support the RCH National Child Health Poll (NCHP). This hands-on role will manage a repository of over 300 Kids Health Information (KHI) fact sheets, work with clinicians to create new fact sheets and related content and develop a sustainable content governance and review process.What you'll achieve:
- Develop and implement an RCH Content Governance Framework for all health literacy content to ensure content is accurate, evidence-based and up to date.
- Proactively identify, write and deliver engaging health education content for parents and young people for both digital and print.
- Write effective, engaging and tonally appropriate health literacy content for a range of channels, media and audiences that is user-centric, accessible, inclusive and consistent.
- Develop and manage a translated materials content plan with RCH interpreter service.
- Maintain and optimise the KHI section of the RCH website and the connected KHI app.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, knowledge translation, public health or a related field, or less formal qualifications with substantial experience in the field.
- 7 - 8 years of experience as a content or copy writer, ideally writing Health Information within a large and complex organisation
- The ability to distil and translate clinical Health Information into accessible language, identify content opportunities and develop content targeted at parents and young people
- Critical appraisal and review skills to support the governance of Health Information and ensure all content is accurate, evidence-based and current
- Experience updating and publishing web pages within a content management system
