We are seeking an experienced Content Writer and Media Officer to join our Media & Marketing team on a permanent part-time basis.
The right candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar role.
The content we create must emanate the firm’s intent, which is to help people and change their lives for the better. We are looking for someone who can contribute to our content strategy, write material that educates the public about their legal rights and helps us connect with the community.
This role also offers the opportunity to work closely with our sponsorship charity partners, assist with other marketing activities, and promoting the profiles of our lawyers and the firm in general.

The RoleAs a Content Writer and Media Officer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling content that educates the public about a breadth of legal practice areas, highlighting people’s legal rights and connecting us with the community.
The Media and Marketing Department works cohesively with every department within the firm.
The role will require you to:
- Assist our lawyers in writing informative blogs covering a variety of legal topics, translating complex information in a way that is easy to understand.
- Writing press releases and managing media relations.
- Create engaging content for social media and marketing campaigns, including promoting the firm’s milestones, staff achievements, and community contributions.
- Maintain and update content on Google My Business Pages and other external platforms.
- Create and edit EDMs (experience using Vision6 or similar preferred, but not essential).
- Contribute to lead generation strategies and campaigns.
- Attend distribution events to capture relevant content.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to produce appealing, relevant and on-brand content.
- Stay updated on industry trends and news.
- Support the Media & Marketing Manager.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or journalism
- Exceptional writing skills with strong vocabulary and grammatical precision
- Ability to simplify complex information and adjust communication style for different audiences and channels
- Must have a keen eye for detail
- Experience using WordPress
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Indesign & Photoshop)
- Experience using Vision6, or similar email marketing software
- Previous PR experience is preferred, but not essential
- Exceptional organisational skills and time management
- Well-spoken, articulate and a friendly disposition
- Positive/enthusiastic approach and must show initiative
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Photography and videography skills advantageous, but not essential

Attwood Marshall Lawyers has modern, spacious, well-positioned offices in Coolangatta, Robina Town Centre, Southport, Kingscliff, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.
This position is offered as a part time role (either 3 or 4 days per week) for the right candidate and will be based at our Robina Town Centre office.
