About the role:
An opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join Home Nursing Services as a Continence Nurse Advisor.
The Continence Nurse Advisor (CNA) will provide specialist continence interventions to consumers including individual consumer assessment and care planning in both the home and clinical settings, dependent upon need. The role of the CNA is to provide education to consumers and the wider community regarding continence issues through working collaboratively with the regional Clinical Nurse Continence Consultant
The role of the Continence Nurse Advisor is to:
- Plan and evaluate quality care that is safe and evidence based.
- Assessment and interventions to include collaborative care where referral to and from other clinicians is required to assist with the management of the consumer.
- Plan and evaluate quality care that is safe and evidence based.
- Participate in consumer directed care planning and goal setting.
- Provide a holistic assessment of complex bladder and bowel issues.
We are looking for:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal skills
- A focus on provision of high-quality clinical care which is patient focused
- Ability to work very effectively in a team-based environment
- Holds a Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in continence management or related field or commitment to complete
- Holds RED State-wide Equipment Program (SWEP) prescribing credentials for children and adults
