Opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of premium animal nutritional products that is ASX Listed and has returned 10.5% growth year on year. With operations throughout Australia, they are heavily focused on Continuous Improvement, innovation, and sustainability, which has created this new role in their engineering team within the rendering facility located in northwest Sydney.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Site Manager, the CI Engineer will be an integral part of the site operations team and wider Ingredient recovery business. There will be a strong focus on monitoring plant performance, the development of plant configuration and operating documentation, investigation of operating performance issues and development and implementation of performance improvement programs. You will need to have a solid understanding of health and safety and be aware of cost goals through higher performance levels.
The programs may involve plant equipment, process and automation modifications, changes to operating procedures, training and coaching of operators and supervisors in optimum plant operation. With capital projects, you can add value with process engineering design.
To Be Successful
Engineering qualifications, ideally chemical or mechanical, with at least 2 years’ experience in a role where you have been involved in plant optimisation by focusing on reducing energy consumption, chemical usage, water usage and waste production. The ability to analyse data and run engineering analysis, and some exposure to PLC Automation systems would be ideal. Key competencies would be a collaborative approach, high attention to detail, and adaptability.
