Our client is a fifth-generation, Australian family-owned company, with 120 years’ experience in delivering a diverse range of high-quality and cost-effective products and projects across Australia, with footprints overseas. Due to a new project, they have a need for an experienced Contract Administrator to join their Mackay team.
Your new role
As the Administrative Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects by efficiently controlling all aspects of contract administration.
- Manage tender documentation
- Oversee procurement programs
- Timely placement of purchase orders
- Administer contracts and maintain project schedules
- Accurate execution and tracking of contract payments
- Daily liaison with Contractor Representatives to address arising issues.
- Working closely with Project Managers, Contractor and Company representatives
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you'll need previous experience in a similar position.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in contract management and administration.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Relevant qualifications in contracts administration, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of construction principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proven experience as a Contract Administrator within the insurance building industry.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office and project management tools.
What you'll get in return
This is a permanent position, contracted for 12-16months, in Paget, Mackay. You will be working Monday to Friday 38–40 hours per week. The salary is dependent on your experience and suitability for the role.
