This role provides the opportunity to work within a progressive, stable, and loyalty-based company. Our work spans the local Commercial and Domestic markets from Cairns, the Cape, and the Torres Strait Islands. We have over sixty staff including in-house Joinery manufacturing, Steel fabrication and our ownTransport hub.
There is an opportunity to join our existing team of CA’s and PM’s and help take us to the next level.
Responsibilities will include:
Reporting to a Project Manager, Commercial Manager and working with your project team responsibilities will include overseeing the administration of the head contract and subcontracts, assessing variations and payments whilst ensuring that the project is delivered within budget and is on track from a financial perspective.
Other duties would include:
Project Management on projects as required.
Supporting the Project Managers in day-to-day duties.
Attending client and site meetings.
Assist with calling for tenders, receiving quotes and compiling for PM.
Managing contractor and client enquiries.
Manage document control.
Have administration and organizational skills.
Functional Relationships:
Clients, Local Councils, Government Bodies and other stakeholders.
Directors, Project Managers, Other operational staff.
Subcontractors, Suppliers, Consultants etc.
Personal attributes:
Working knowledge of the building and construction industry.
Project Management experience is advantageous.
Previous experience working with Microsoft suite software.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Competent Time management and organization skills.
A “can-do” attitude and team player.
