Project/Change Manager - 12 month fixed term contract

The Project/Change Manager will lead the delivery of FY25 Portfolio projects, in accordance with the EPMO Framework, and reporting into the governance committees established.The Project/Change Manager will lead the delivery of FY25 Portfolio projects, in accordance with the EPMO Framework, and reporting into the governance committees established.Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for organising, directing, controlling, and coordinating business/strategic and / or ICT projects as assigned within the Portfolio
• Develop and manage the schedule, risks, benefits, scope, resources and finances of the project/s
• Coordinate and lead resources assigned to the projects, including facilitating working groups, project boards and governance forums
• Establish and develop meaningful working relationships with a range of stakeholders
• Monitor project outcomes and ensure project objectives continue to meet strategic actions
• Provide timely and accurate reporting and updates into the project governance and the EPMO
• Maintain project documentation and quality assurance across project deliverables

Key Qualifications:

• Certification or Qualifications in Prince2, PMBOK, or Managing Successful Programs or
• Cert IV / Diploma in Project Management
• P3 (Portfolio, Program, Project) Qualifications

Key Capabilities:

• Minimum five (5) years in similar role (eg Project Manager; Delivery Manager/Lead)
• Experience in the delivery of both business / strategic and IT projects and programs of work
• Advanced experience using MS Project, MS Visio, Office 365, MS Excel, PowerPoint
• Strong written and oral communication skills, and relationship / stakeholder management
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• High quality reporting and presentation material developmentExperience in projects that influence and benefit workforce allocation to create efficiencies; experience in projects with digitisation drivers; and experience in projects that deliver uplift in customer service delivery

The Strategic Operational Excellence Program consists of three projects:

• Operations workforce planning (WFP)
• Customer Operations Progression (COP)
• Digital Lodgement

Key Selection Criteria:

• Can you describe a recent program / project you managed from conception to completion? What methodologies did you use, and what were the outcomes?
• During program and project initiation, the scope of the program / project can become clearer or can change (by way of true outcomes, objectives and benefits). Can you describe your approach to how you determine the project's scope and objectives during initiation, and what strategies you use to ensure a clear pathway to delivery.
• Communication and stakeholder management is vital in project management. How do you ensure effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties throughout a project's lifecycle?
• Risk management is crucial in projects. Can you discuss your approach to identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks? Please provide an example of a risk you encountered and how you handled it.
• Collaboration often involves working with cross-functional teams. How do you foster collaboration and synergy among team members with diverse backgrounds and skill sets?
• Leadership plays a significant role in project management, as does making recommendations to project sponsor/s. Can you describe a situation where you have briefed senior leadership or governance forums regards a project's direction and provided options to improve the project by way of schedule trajectory, outcomes/benefits, or other factors.
