We are seeking to recruit talented commercial, contracting and procurement practitioners, managers and analysts who can drive innovative commercial outcomes across a wide range of major Australian Defence Force (ADF) capability and wider Defence acquisition and sustainment projects.
As an APS4 Contracting Officer, you will be assisting with the provision of commercial, contracting and procurement advice and support towards a wide and varied range of procurements as well as assisting with the provision of low level advice and guidance.
You will be contributing to high performing teams, supporting productive relationships with stakeholders and clients, communicating effectively and supporting commercial outcomes that comply with Commonwealth Government legislation and policy requirements.
About our Team
We are recruiting in an exciting time for Defence across a range of positions in Procurement and Contracting between three Groups:
- Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG): CASG exists to meet the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) military equipment and supply requirements, identified by Defence and approved by Government. CASG manages a muti-billion dollar portfolio of complex, high-profile acquisitions and sustainment activities supporting armed forces.
- Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Group (GWEO): GWEO’s mission is to deliver an Enterprise with a focus on domestic manufacture, long-range strike and uplifting our war stocks enabling the Australian Defence Force, in competition and conflict.
- Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG): NSSG is responsible for delivering and sustaining Australia’s naval capability – the ships and submarines – for Australia to be able to fight and win at sea.
