About the Role
The Contract Operational Coordinator will support the Distribution Contracts Team with the delivery of technical and commercial outcomes. You will be responsible for compiling effective annual programs of work to be released, for the corresponding contract year. The work programs consist of merging various work streams within the Distribution Network to ensure customer centric, compliance and commercial agreement outcomes.

The role will interface upstream with key stakeholders and downstream with delivery partners. This role encompasses the safety, quality, and commercial excellence of agreed KPI's and performance metrics, ensuring Ausnet is in the top quartile of network performance and safety.
This role will report to the Contract Operations Lead, Distribution and is located in Melbourne.

What you will deliver
- Supporting the Operational Lead with the interface queries between parties across the Distribution electricity O&M space
- Building of optimised work programs and inspection programs that achieve compliance, customer and budget output expectations
- Providing technical support and guidance to strategic delivery partners
- Quality control and oversight of work programs to ensure adequately scoped requirements to reduce inefficiencies.
- Data analysis using SAP for the purpose of achieving optimised planning outcomes.
- Maintain reports and forecasts across numerous work programs, predicting variations to budgeted volumes extrapolating impacts and escalating through commercial and finance teams.
- Predict early impacts on commercial arrangements with delivery partners and suppliers to allow advanced intervention and plan to reduce such impacts.
- Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to help their understanding of key decisions, create aligned work opportunities, manage issues to minimise downstream impacts.
- Handle direct enquiries from the asset assessment team and make maintenance budget decisions re: major replacement works.
- Support the processes implemented to maintain consistency across AusNet in works practices and other operational activities.
- Resolve network clashes between competing priorities and delivery teams.
What we like about you
- Planning degree or equivalent commercial experience.
- Project Management certificate / Project Planning and Scheduling Certificate or CMMS certified.
- Technical skills in Electricity Distribution
- Proficient in data analysis tools and techniques (excel, pivot tables, graphs, databases, information management)
- Well versed with SAP or equivalent asset management tools
- Experience in vendor contract development and delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in O&M works programs, commercial development, negotiation, and management.
- Proven experience in delivering works within assigned budgets, time, and quality parameters.
- Commercial awareness of ability to apply cost focused initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer negotiation skills and the ability to manage a range of stakeholders and their needs.
