Primary Purpose
And key objectives: Provide on-site service to assist in the achievement of the project objective.
Key Functions/
Responsibilities:
- Prepare all payment claims ensuring on-time submission and accuracy in accordance with the head contract and securities of payment legislation
- Manage and monitor contract securities, insurances, claims and variations under the head contract and key subcontracts
- Conduct preliminary commercial evaluation of tenders from subcontractors and support the negotiation and compilation of subcontracts in accordance with Pacific Project Group Procurement Policy
- Financial reporting using Procore
- Effectively manage subcontracts through all phases, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations processing, completion and close out
- Review contract drawings, specifications, and program to draft response to contractual letters including variations and extension of time claim.
- Ensure cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes (including those allocated to direct reports) are accurately maintained and cost issues are appropriately escalated upon identification
- Assist with contracts administration and general project commercial objectives reporting directly to the senior management team
- Manage, monitor and update document control including issue and revision of construction drawings, specifications etc.
- Manage, monitor and control submission of project samples.
- Attend subcontract meetings
- Manage the administration of subcontractor/ supplier invoices including tracking sheets, matching, coding and RCTI’s or claims
- Assist with head contract administration.
- Complete general administration duties.
- Procore experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be willing to travel to Newcastle and the Hunter region intermittently
