About the role:
Due to a strong project pipeline of work in the Hunter region, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Contract Administrator to joinour construction team.
The Contract Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects are executed efficiently and will be a liaison between internal business parties and external vendors and suppliers.
As Contract Administrator, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Manage all project-related documentation, including contracts, drafting specifications, legal agreements and correspondence, and other relevant records.
- Review and make recommendations on contracts that are legally binding between both parties
- Ensure purchase orders and requisitions are raised in a timely manner
- Manage the construction program by tracking project expenses, expenditures, budget, scheduling sub-contractors, and managing time overruns with site supervisors
- Liaise with the Project Manager to schedule long lead items and release periods
- Negotiate with sub-contractors in liaison with procurement
- Support the Development and Construction Teams to meet contract expectations
- Provide regular updates to the stakeholders and/or the project control team
- Evaluate the effectiveness of contract management processes and identify opportunities for improvement, such as streamlining procedures, implementing new tools or technologies, or providing training to staff members.

To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Exposure to the construction sector is desirable
- Residential & Commercial Estimating and Contract Administration experience
- Intermediate business administration
- Residential building process experience preferred
- Knowledge of CDC and DA requirements
- High attention to detail and administrative skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple-tasks at the same time.
