About the Opportunity
Vision Infrastructure has undergone unprecedent growth since its establishment and is looking towards even stronger growth in 2024. As a result, we are currently seeking to appoint Contract Administrators to join our Newcastle team and support new and existing clients.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role is accountable for:
- Project delivery support, including preparing key contractual notices, claims and variations within designated timeframes.
- Assessing and managing key project risks.
- Management of project commercial registers including extensions of time, risk and opportunity and variations.
- Attendance at weekly project meetings and site visits as required.
- Reviewing, advising on and assisting with negotiation of contracts for suppliers, subcontractors and consultants.
- Support management of project claims and disputes.
About You
- Degree in Law, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, desirable but not essential.
- 5+ years' experience of contract management required, preferably with a tier 1 company in large scale projects, particularly in the energy (renewable) market.
- Ability to quickly analyse contract/commercial issues and provide concise accurate advice to project management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Negotiation skills also highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritise and work well in pressured and unpredictable environments.
- A positive and proactive attitude to consistently ensure the completion of the daily workload.
- Ability to build rapport and manage relationships.
- Ability to travel to site and client offices as required.
