Our client is looking for a Contracts Specialist to join their growing team within the SA State Government and support the ongoing management of critical supply contracts. This role will help drive commercial outcomes that support the broader community, through the provision of timely advice on contract management activities and strategies. This team offers endless development opportunities and the chance to collaborate with and be mentored by senior contract experts.
Other responsibilities include:
- Providing advice and hands-on support for various high-value and critical contracts
- Developing, implementing and maintaining comprehensive contract management plans
- Proactively identifying, managing and advising on commercial and contractual risks
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Monitoring contract performance and contributing to contract evaluation panels
- Developing and presenting reports on contract performance and areas for improvement
- Experience acting as a Contract Officer, Advisor, Administrator, or similar
- Demonstrated knowledge of contract management principals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience building successful relationships with diverse stakeholders
- State government experience is desired
