About the role:
We have a contract opportunity for an experienced Contracts Specialist in our principal contract to team to plan, develop and establish contracts for the procurement of goods and services including capital works projects. Based in our Leederville office, this role will be reporting to the Manager - Contracts.
What the role will involve:
This is a diverse position that covers, amongst other things, prepare bid documents and manage the formal bid process, write evaluation recommendations and reports, liaise with the stakeholders and provide support on projects, provide commercial and procurement advice, review procurement plans for critical or high risk contracts and resolve contractual issues that arise.
Key skills and experience:
This role requires extensive experience in the development, negotiation and implementation of construction and mechanical & electrical contracts, excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills. You will have a degree level qualification in a related discipline (Engineering, Business or Law). The role requires demonstrated extensive experience in the development and management of contracts particularly in construction.
You will also require solid knowledge of contract law and the formation of complex I services, equipment and construction. A working knowledge of SAP computer-based procurement systems and experience in government sector procurement would also be desirable.
