Reporting to the Manager of Control Systems and supporting the lead engineer, you as the Senior Control Systems Engineer will provide specialist advice, programming and design.
You will:
- At least 5+ years experience in controls
- Siemens (S7-1500/1200, ET200SP, Safety modules, TIA Portal)
- Ignition SCADA platform
- Communication Protocols - Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profinet, CAN, UDP
- Programming experience
- Machine safety qualification from TUV or similar.
- Project design experience - System Architecture, Hardware Selection, Network Segregation, Interconnections, Software Development, Testing and Commissioning.
- Project documentation - Develop I/O list, alarm list, functional specification, FAT/SAT test procedures
- Programming, commissioning of MES, SCADA and PLC based systems
About You
- Demonstrating an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility, and sustainable development and technical regulatory compliance
- Extensive experience on large scale multidiscipline EPCM projects. Project cycle from engineering design, project delivery to commissioning support.
- Strong technical skills on process control, field instrumentations, PLC programming, SCADA application development, systems integration, testing and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to communicate at all levels using written and verbal techniques.
- Experience with configuration and programming of applications/platforms including IgnitionSCADA
- Experience with configuration, programming and migrating of various PLC Platforms (Siemens), Fieldbus networks (Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus etc), Variable Speed Drives, analogue and digital actuators and sensors
- Solid understanding of Siemens and Rockwell would be highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechatronic or Control Systems Engineering or Trade qualifications in Electrical or Instrumentation discipline in equivalent industry and/or organisational experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role.
