Our client is a globally significant international mining company who is seeking to appoint a Control Systems Specialist to their flagship underground mine in the Goldfields of WA.
Reporting to the Processing Manager, the primary function of the position is to manage the process control change process ensuring that all changes are approved, documented and tested.
Major responsibilities will include:
- To identify, implement and manage control system upgrades
- Providing electrical technical direction to the team
- Recognise process optimisation opportunities by utilising operational technology
Key requirements of the role are:
- Tertiary qualifications in Control System Engineering or related disciplines
- Process control experience preferably in gold or base metal mining
- Process plant automation experience
- Proficiency with process optimisation software as well as communication frameworks.
- Knowledge of OsiSoft PI Historian and underground remote technology will be well regarded.
This role offers an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, and an attractive salary for a 6-month fixed-term contract.
