Your new role
As a Process Control Systems Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of optimising our mining operations. Your expertise will drive the implementation and management of control system upgrades, ensuring reliability and efficiency. You’ll also play a key role in identifying process optimization opportunities using operational technology.
Management of Change: Oversee the site’s Process Control Management of Change process, ensuring all changes are approved, well-documented, and rigorously tested.Control System Upgrades: Identify, implement, and manage upgrades to enhance the reliability of the operational technology.Process Optimization: Leverage operational technology for process optimization, including automated plant start-ups and shutdowns.Technical Direction: Provide expert guidance to electrical personnel in instrumentation, process control, automation, functional safety, and industrial data networks.What you'll need to succeed Qualification: Tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) in Control Systems Engineering or related discipline.Experience: Proven process control system experience, preferably in the mining industry.Industry Knowledge: Prior exposure to gold or base metals and milling operations is desirable.Automation Skills: Experience with automation of Mineral Processing Plants.Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in AVEVA Plant SCADA, Schneider EcoStruxure Control Expert, Octoplant, and TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and fiber optic communications.Bonus Points: Knowledge of OsiSoft PI Historian and underground remote operational technology.What you'll get in return
