This permanent Source Control Technical Officer position reports to the Senior Source Control Technical Officer. As a Source Control Officer, you will regulate the discharge of trade waste into Logan Waterâs sewerage system in accordance with our Trade Waste Policy and Management Plan. You will assess Trade Waste Permits, Liquid Waste and Plan Assessment applications in accordance with Logan Waterâs Trade Waste practices.
You have the combination of technical and communication skills to provide succinct technical advice which builds stakeholder relationships and helping businesses succeed and flourish in the City of Logan.
Additionally, you will undertake compliance monitoring, which includes sampling and an inspection program to ensure permit conditions are being adhered to. You value working as a team and have the ability to work independently, manage your time and prioritise your workload to deliver effective outcomes.
Ideally, you will have:
- Knowledge of the Logan Area
- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated substantial knowledge and previous experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Working knowledge of contemporary water management including trade waste management, drinking water quality management, integrated water cycle management, recycled water, wastewater source management, testing and analysis and environmental issues.
- Demonstrated experience with wastewater and water treatment and network supply systems and the quality management and oversight of these systems.
- Knowledge of public health, legislative, best practice management principles, and policy frameworks with the Australian Water Industry
- Experience in detailed data analysis, including both technical and customer information, identify emerging trends and deviations and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Mandatory:
- Ability to satisfactorily pass all pre-employment and background checks
- Current 30215 General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) Ticket
