Job description

About the role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of food items, ensuring the quality and presentation meet the highest standards. The Cook will collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers.
Job responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, following recipes and ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Handle and prepare all food items with strict adherence to sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Monitor and manage food inventory, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with the chef and kitchen team to develop and update menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences.
• Contribute creative ideas to enhance menu offerings and overall dining experience.
• Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Conduct regular inspections of food supplies and equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
• Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely delivery of dishes.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and adherence to sanitation procedures.
• Stay informed about industry trends, new ingredients, and cooking techniques.
• Adapt to changing priorities and work demands, especially during peak hours.
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Cook in a professional kitchen.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
