The Manly Crew Pty Ltd is seeking to engage skilled Cooks & Chefs for its vibrant establishment, Fins & Ribs, located in Manly, NSW 2095. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from 60,000 to 80,000 AUD per annum, in addition to superannuation, with room for negotiation commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the ideal candidate.

Scope of the Role:
- The day-to-day operation of a busy kitchen, including delegating staff, stock rotation and relevant paperwork.
- Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
- Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure the timely delivery of services.
- Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
- Analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items based on food, labour, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, considering factors such as seasonal availability of ingredients and the number of customers.
- Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (WHS) AND HACCP
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
- Setting up, cleaning, and organising workstations
- Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shift
- Cooking order according to food health and safety standards
- Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed
- Sanitising and cleaning workstations and utensils
To be considered for this role, you should:
- Be willing to relocate if you are interstate or in other cities.
- Be available on both days at weekends and be able to work split shifts.
- Certificates III & IV in Commercial Cookery
- Have at least 2 years of work experience as a Chef/Cook.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Very good communication skills.
