About Us: Guardian Angels OSHC is a thriving service located in a picturesque setting by the beach. With a current capacity of 140 children, we are poised for expansion pending new licensing approvals. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive and nurturing environment for both our team members and the children we serve.
The Role: As the Coordinator of our OSHC program, you will play a pivotal role in leading our team of passionate educators. You will have the opportunity to shape the direction of the program, develop innovative activities, and build strong relationships with children, families, and the community.
Responsibilities:
- Provide dynamic leadership to our team of educators, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
- Develop and implement engaging and diverse programs that cater to the interests and needs of the children in our care.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, schools, and community organizations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the OSHC program, including staff scheduling, budget management, and administrative tasks.
- Participate in Leadership Days and attend Service Leader lunches alongside the leadership team.

- Forge a collaborative Partnership with the Archdiocesan of Brisbane to access Graduate Internships and Brisbane Catholic Education, enabling participation in their Graduate Program.
- Gain practical hands-on experience while studying your bachelor’s degree. There are 8 areas of study that are approved as relevant qualifications for working with school-age children, for example early childhood education and care qualification, behavioural science, community services, creative arts/ fine arts/ drama or music, nursing/ physiotherapy/ occupational therapy/ diversional therapy or speech pathology, primary/ secondary or special education, sport and recreation and human welfare studies and services.

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field.
- Significant experience working in a leadership role in an OSHC or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).
