The Opportunity:
Barcaldine Regional Council are seeking a dynamic and experienced Coordinator of Asset Management to join our team!
Responsible for facilitating the efficient, effective, and economic operations of Council, you will play a pivotal role in providing timely and accurate financial information, ensuring the maintenance of asset and job cost registers, collaborating on Asset Management plans, assisting in budget development, and monitoring and reporting on operational and capital expenditure. You will also be responsible for the annual insurance renewal program and acquittals for capital grants and programs.

What's on Offer?
Location: This position is regionally based, and discussions regarding placement are open for consideration in any town within the Barcaldine Regional Council area
Classification Level: To be discussed with successful applicant
Wage: To be discussed with successful applicant +Superannuation (up to 12%) and relevant approved allowances
Payment of Wages: Council employees are paid fortnightly
Hours of work: 72.5hours over 9 days with a rostered day off (RDO) every fortnight
Leave Entitlements: Five (5) weeks annual leave per annum + 17.5% loading. Fifteen (15) days Personal Leave (sick leave) per annum

Successful Applicant Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience within a complex and mature Asset Management environment
- Demonstrated experience with setting and monitoring budgets, preparing progress reports and conducting variance analysis
- Demonstrated excellence in planning and organisational skills, with sound attention to detail, quality focus, and the necessary interpersonal and influencing skills to work within a finance team and across functions to achieve desired outcomes
- Demonstrated sound communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to articulate financial information in a non-technical manner
- Recognised qualifications in Accounting are desirable but not mandatory
- Previous experience working in Local Government or with other government bodies is desirable but not mandatory
