Coordinator Asset Management Strategy

About the opportunity

You will be driving innovation and fostering a commitment to excellence.

We are seeking a skilled Coordinator to play a pivotal role in implementing and activating our Asset Management Strategy.

Leading a team of 10 asset professionals to provide strategy, systems and to meet the regulatory requirements of Councils $5 billion infrastructure asset portfolio.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, preferably a degree qualification or, at the discretion of the Director, relevant qualifications in a related field
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in the development and implementation of Asset Management strategies and policies
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a diverse team of Asset practitioners and key external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in the enterprise Asset Management systems
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in long term modeling and forecasting processes and systems
  • Demonstrated experience in the lifecycle management of assets typical to local government
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement
  • Current class ‘C’ driver’s licence.

Desirable:

  • Extensive experience in Asset Management, strategy and policy within local Government
  • Post graduate qualification in Asset Management or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of new technologies and sustainability initiatives.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $2,332.90 per week
  • 35-hour working week 
  • Leaseback vehicle
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
