About the team
The Engineering Design and Standards team is known for its commitment and innovation in engineering excellence, delivering minor to major multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. The team consists of dedicated, high performing people within the water and wastewater industry. The team provides valuable input for City infrastructure projects from inception, design to construction and asset management. They are centred within the expansion and development of a progressive city, and now has never been a better time to join us!
About your new role
- Contributing to advancing our engineering design for utilities, water and wastewater projects.
- Undertaking design and documentation for trunk and reticulation water mains, sewer rising and gravity mains, and other utility and water infrastructure projects.
- Ensuring the planning and design principles are implemented as per the relevant standards and policies.
- Providing expert support and advice, including problem resolution, to various stakeholders on the planning and design processes for the successful completion of water and utility infrastructure projects.
We're looking for people who have
- An Associate Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or higher (Mandatory)
- A minimum 8 years’ experience in design, with a focus on water and wastewater utility
- Advanced knowledge in engineering design software, including 12D model and AutoCAD
- Experience with plant 3D (desired)
- Design knowledge in other disciplines such as civil, drainage or structural (desired)
- Current C Class Driver Licence
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of tackling complex challenges
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Effective time management skills in prioritising workloads to meet deadlines
- Thorough work processes and strong attention to detail
- A positive attitude and are dedicated to achieving project goals.
