An opportunity is available to join Queensland Symphony Orchestra as a Marketing Coordinator & Graphic Designer. This role supports QSO’s marketing efforts by coordinating marketing activities, managing digital and print design projects, and creating visually compelling materials that promote QSOs brand, programs, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:- Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies to promote QSOs mission, programs, and events.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns and initiatives, including email marketing, social media management, content creation, and digital advertising.
- Create visually appealing and on-brand graphic design assets for digital and print channels, including social media graphics, website banners, email templates, brochures, posters, flyers, and advertisements.
- Develop engaging multimedia content, including videos, animations, infographics, and interactive presentations, to enhance the QSOs online presence and storytelling capabilities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to conceptualise design concepts, develop project briefs, and iterate on designs based on feedback and requirements.
- Maintain brand consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all design projects and marketing materials.
- Create compelling marketing materials, including event invitations, sponsorship packages, promotional emails, social media content, and printed collateral, to drive participation in fundraising events.
- Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and event partners to assist the team in delivering successful events.
To excel in the role, the ideal applicant will demonstrate:
- Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar design tools.
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling designs and multimedia content.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of marketing principles, digital marketing trends, and social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a passion for promoting cultural enrichment and community engagement through marketing and design.
Desirable Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field.
- Experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Experience in marketing coordination, graphic design, or related roles in the non-profit, arts, or cultural sector.
- Experience with website management, content management systems (CMS), and email marketing platforms.
- Passion for the arts and a commitment to promoting cultural enrichment and engagement.
