Cairns Regional Council is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Governance Coordinator.
Primary Objectives:
- Ensures that appropriate systems of corporate governance are operating effectively within Cairns Regional Council.
- Provide oversight of the Records Management, Right to Information (RTI) and Information Privacy services within Cairns Regional Council.
Our ideal candidate:
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in governance and records management frameworks, ensuring corporate compliance and best practices.
- Capable of implementing developmental strategies to enhance capability and capacity in governance and records programs for the future.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft presentations, reports, and other documentation effectively.
- Proven experience in liaising with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, handling governance matters with tact and discretion.
- Strong analytical skills to analyse complaints, identify recurring themes and trends, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects, ensuring deadlines are met and compliance requirements are fulfilled.
- Collaborative approach to work, providing direction and professional leadership to teams while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
