About the Role
- Lead the development of land use, urban renewal, and development strategies and policies
- Provide oversight of the Strategic Planning team
- Manage planning projects and coordinate consultants and internal staff
- Advise on planning legislation and related matters
- Oversee public exhibitions, notifications, and attend public meetings
- Provide guidance to the public on planning matters
- Monitor budget and work program in conjunction with the Manager
- Collaborate with team members to create an enthusiastic and motivated environment
- Support and embed organisational initiatives
About the Person
- Significant Strategic Planning experience
- Strong supervisory and mentoring skills
- Excellent project management abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement
- A comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, planning reform, trends and issues in the NSW planning sector
- Relevant qualifications in urban planning or a related field
