Your new job

An exciting opportunity exists for a full-time Strategic Planning Coordinator to join Council. Reporting directly to the Manager of Strategic Planning, the role will support in the delivery of quality Strategic Planning projects and initiatives, including Local Environmental Plan amendments and a range of strategic land use policies and plans.

You

• Tertiary
  planning qualification or tertiary qualification, at degree level, in an
  affiliated field to planning recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia;
• Minimum
  five (5) years’ experience in strategic land use planning or similar in Local
  Government;
• Demonstrated
  ability to communicate and interact at all levels to both internal and external
  stakeholders on technical advice and policy issues relevant to this position;
• Demonstrated
  knowledge and understanding of the relevant planning legislation, principles
  and practices at the highest level of expertise;
• Motivation
  to undertake continued professional development to ensure that technical skills
  are up to date;
• Proven
  ability to perform successful negotiation and conflict resolution to achieve
  satisfactory outcomes;
• Proven
  ability to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget;
• Current
  class C driver’s licence.
