About the organisation: 

Murray PHN is a part of the national network of Primary Health Networks across Australia. We work closely with the primary health system to identify opportunities to improve health outcomes in our community. 

Murray PHN spans the northern Victoria area from Mildura to Woodend and eastward to Wodonga including Albury NSW. Servicing this area are offices and staff located in Albury (North East), Bendigo (Central Victoria), Mildura (North West) and Shepparton (Goulburn Valley) acknowledging that our region crosses many First Nation lands. 

About the role: 

Murray PHN have an opportunity for three experienced project Coordinators to join our Mental Health Suicide Prevention team.

Reporting to the Project Lead – Suicide Prevention the position will focus on developing community stakeholder relationships and coordinating project activities that connect and coordinate community-based Suicide Prevention efforts.

Leveraging your demonstrated ability to build and maintain meaningful community relationships, the successful candidates will:

• collaborate with key community representatives and health service providers to develop and deliver Suicide Prevention initiatives that are responsive to community needs; and
• contribute to and integrate local work activities with a coordinated regional approach in Suicide Prevention.

Working flexibly and collaboratively with your team, the Coordinator role will suit someone who thrives both autonomously and within a team.

Clinical suicide knowledge is not essential for this role, rather your abilities in building community stakeholder relationships, networking, project management and understanding of Suicide Prevention work, are the keys in being successful in this role.

What we offer: 

• Full time (flexibility for 0.6 FTE upwards)
• Maximum term contract to 30 June 2025
• Salary range – Grade 5 ($95,697 to $100,000, per annum full time rate shown) plus superannuation.
• Based in the Bendigo, Shepparton, or Albury offices.
