Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Corporate Accountant is responsible for the Group's core accounting functions and general ledger integrity for all entities in the Capricorn Group. Assisting in preparation of the statutory reporting and income tax returns, responsible for GST and FBT compliance, management accounting functions and end of month procedures. They will foster business partnerships with business unit and cost centre managers. They will also liaise with IT as required to maximize value from the Epicor system.
Skills, Knowledge and Attributes
- Exposure to New Zealand accounting and tax regime would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Advanced understanding of accounting principles.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and experience in an ERP system.
- Proven ability to work in a hands on capacity and be passionate, enthusiastic and enjoy a role where you have a direct interaction with cost centre owners and stakeholders across the business.
- Proven analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Big four audit or tax experience preferable.
- CA/CPA qualified with 2-3 years' experience post qualification.
- Commerce degree
