We are a busy bookkeeping firm, located in Kelmscott, seeking a Bookkeeper Assistant. This position is ideally suited to someone who understands a variety and diverse range of clients.
Duties include:
- Assisting the bookkeeper in maintaining all financial transactions of a business.
- Preparing and recording day-to-day transactions of a business.
- Processing, preparing and recording invoices and vendor bills.
- Assist and support bookkeeper in preparing and maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
- Verify, ascertain and determine the correctness of financial data.
- Assist bookkeeper with with processing payroll.
To be successful for this position, the applicant will ideally possess the following:
- Knowledge of accounting principals.
- High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or similar is highly regarded.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly in excel.
- Honest and Reliable.
- Ability to multi-task.
Experience in Xero/MYOB/Reckon or other accounting programs is highly desirable.
This position is for 4 days per week (30 hours). Must be available to work Monday, other days are negotiable. Consideration is also given to those wishing to work between school hours.
A full time position will be considered for the right candidate.
