About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Communications Manager to join our team. As the Regional Corporate Communications Manager, you will develop and deliver strategic communications programs aimed at fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with our values and objectives.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Collaborate with regional senior leadership to develop comprehensive communication strategies aligned with company objectives and values, ensuring brand consistency across all internal and external communications.
  • Oversee internal communication channels and messaging to ensure employees are informed about company news, initiatives, and developments. Develop strategies to enhance employee engagement and foster a strong company culture.
  • Lead the development of engaging content for various channels, including town halls, safety campaigns, press releases, website content, social media posts, internal newsletters, and presentations.
  • Manage public relations efforts, including key government and industry group relations, stakeholder engagement, community relations, and crisis communication planning and execution to maintain a positive reputation and identify opportunities for the company.
  • Plan and execute corporate events, including conferences, trade shows, and community outreach programs, to promote the company's brand and engage stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media contacts to proactively manage media inquiries and secure media coverage that positively impacts the company’s image.

About you

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Corporate Communications, public relations or related field, preferably within the mining or natural resources sector
  • A passion for delivering effective communications and the competence to contribute to and execute strategic programs as well as tactical activities 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences and a variety of channels
  • Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to build relationships and collaborate effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Strong media relations experience with a track record of securing positive media coverage
  • The capability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices, environmental issues and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in the mining and chemical industry
  • Experience managing and/or mentoring staff, including direct report as well as those beyond your immediate team
