Corporate Communications Specialist

The Corporate Communications Specialist is a pivotal hybrid role that actively contributes to both the Corporate Communications and copywriting teams. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate seamlessly across the organisation, providing essential support and leading various Corporate Communications initiatives. Additionally, you will play a key role in crafting compelling and creative copy for our customer-facing brands.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate across the business to support the development and execution of employee brand strategies and communications as well as support Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives
  • Manage and update corporate social media profiles and websites, including analysis and reporting to track performance. 
  • Identify and evaluate sponsorship opportunities, industry events and conferences, aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. 
  • Craft compelling, creative and clear messaging that aligns with the company’s brands and values.
  • Product high-quality innovative and engaging written content for VGW and its products, including both long form and short form copy for digital, social and web pieces. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand communication needs, and develop and execute corporate communication activities.

Qualifications, skills & experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism or related area.
  • Five or more years of experience in Corporate Communications in a medium to large company in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong copywriting background, with excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
  • A creative mindset and a strategic approach in producing captivating copy that spans diverse platforms, including digital, social media, web and other communication channels. 
  • Strong critical and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop and execute communications plans.
  • Experience in managing corporate social media accounts
