The Role
We are seeking a permanent part-time Finance Assistant to work two days per week in our Corporate Finance team. This person will be a highly productive and capable individual who will be responsible for duties such as accounts payable and receivable, supplier invoices and payments, credit card administration, and debtors. The role will also provide assistance with commission and brokerage reconciliation and basic bookkeeping tasks.
MGD will provide the right candidate a flexible work schedule (minimum 15 hours per week) and all necessary training (for example in Xero and MYOB systems and processing of BAS, IAS, and tax returns).
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Supplier invoices and payments
- Debtor management
- Credit card administration
- Personal tax returns
- Assist with commission and brokerage reconciliation
- Basic bookkeeping tasks
- Project work, as requested
- Scanning and filing of client work
About You
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous office experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
- Ability to work well in a team environment
