The City of Yarra is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Corporate Records Officer to join a small, experienced team. This role directly supports the operations of Council departments and the wider Yarra Community with records and information management matters. Handling a wide variety of records, this opportunity requires on a good understanding of records, information and privacy principles as well as sound information and computer literacy skills to succeed. This is a highly supported role with professional development pathways and internal opportunities. An interest in the field of records and information management, demonstrated experience in a similar role or studying towards formal RIM qualifications would be highly regarded.
The team is dynamic, diverse and fast-paced, placing a strong emphasis on problem-solving and attention to detail. The right applicant would also have a strong emphasis on customer responsiveness to meet Yarra's high standards.
This role contributes to the daily operations by assisting with the maintenance of physical and digital records; providing internal staff with records and information support in the use on Content Manager; assist with the daily processing of incoming mail; responds to requests through a customer request system; participates in records and information projects and contributes to a positive, and continuously improving team.
