What you'll be doing
The Corporate Services Manager will provide strategic leadership and coordination of services to support Corporate Services provision within the Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals (BMDH). The Corporate Services Manager will manage the Corporate Services Departments of Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals. The Corporate Services Manager reports to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, BMDH and provide oversight of the Corporate Services for both Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospital Campuses. The role is responsible for providing best practice Corporate Services and ensuring that effective Governance structure is in place, within which efficient, cost effective and patient centric Corporate services are provided.
This position is responsible for Management of all Human, financial and physical resources of the following Corporate services portfolios across BMDH including:
- General Services (including Cleaning Services, Portering Services, Linen management, Waste Management, and others)
- Administration Services
- Security Services
- Supply Services
- Pastoral Care
- Volunteer Services (Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital)
- Mailroom & Central Photocopying Services
In addition, the role will liaise and co-ordinate with various WSLHD, HealthShare and contracted services such as Maintenance, Car Parking, Food Services, Retail and others.

Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health or business discipline and /or relevant diverse experience in a management related field relevant to the position
- Demonstrated superior leadership and team management skills, particularly in managing staff and budgetary resources, to ensure provision of high-quality and patient centric services
- Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills. Demonstrated consulting and negotiation skills necessary to establish relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders with conflicting priorities
- Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop and implement sound and innovative strategies, policies, or strategic responses
- A broad knowledge of all aspects of health service environments including structures, policies, procedures, personnel and a substantial operating knowledge of government policies and procedures
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the principles, structures, and process of governance in the public sector context including experience of risk management frameworks.
- High level of stakeholder and significant experience in leading and/or managing Projects.
- Significant experience in implementing and/or leading Key Performance Indicator frameworks.
