What you’ll do:
- Financial Business Partner: Own the business performance of our manufacturing function, providing monthly performance reporting and profitability analysis.
- Process Improvement: Drive the establishment of job routing, materials forecasting, and continuous improvement processes across all S&A manufacturing sites.
- Month-End Excellence: Enhance the S&A month-end close process, particularly focusing on inventory management and cost of goods sold.
- Systems Implementation: Work as part of the team implementing Netsuite system changes, including Units of Measure, Purchase Orders, Inventory and WIP accounting, materials forecasting, and product cost accounting.
- Risk Management: Identify gaps within existing business controls and recommend ways to minimise key risks.
- Team Support: Cross-train with the finance team to ensure critical tasks have adequate cover.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a medium-sized B2B business. Experience in the building industry is a plus.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, and core accounting functions.
- Skills: Highly organised, excellent communicator, and comfortable working in a small team environment.
- Attributes: High level of ownership, initiative, and a proactive approach to improving business performance.
What great looks like:
- One Month: You’ll have an in-depth introduction to the business and complete critical deliverables like month-end reporting.
- Three Months: You’ll have a plan in place for labor and materials costing, stock management, and resource planning.
- Six Months: You’ll bring structure to the month-end process, reducing the time to close down to an acceptable level (ideally Day 3).
