Form of workPerks People Solutions have partnered with a rapidly expanding manufacturer located in Adelaide’s northwestern suburbs. The company operates under a “household name” and they pride themselves on producing high quality goods which are supplied on a national scale. An opportunity now exists for an experienced Cost Accountant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
The Role
Reporting through to the Financial Controller you’ll be responsible for managing the cost accounting function on behalf of the business. You’ll conduct extensive analysis around WIP, BOM, and production variances. You’ll conduct regular reviews to assess performance and you’ll be comfortable recommending systems and process improvements. You’ll work closely with key manufacturing leaders to understand cost drivers, inventory levels and you’ll ensure that operational plans are well supported through in-depth analysis. You’ll partner with the Financial Controller to provide day to day leadership, training and coaching to the team and you’ll be comfortable picking up additional general finance tasks as required by the business.
About You
- Academic background and qualifications in accounting
- Strong experience working in a hands-on cost or management accounting position
- Experience within the manufacturing sector will be highly regarded
- Consistent performer with high attention to detail and the ability to “see the bigger picture”
- Comfortable working within a rapidly expanding environment
