As an APS5 Costing Analyst within the Budget and Financial Management Branch’s Costing Team, you will support Executive Level staff by assisting with the production of high quality, accurate and timely costings, to ensure Services Australia (the Agency) receives appropriate funding to deliver its outcomes.
Costing Analysts exercise both initiative and judgement, in the interpretation of policy and consideration of service delivery implications, as well as application of costing practices and processes. You will have the opportunity to engage with stakeholders within the Agency and across government, including central agencies.
Working under general direction, Costing Analysts undertake independent assessments and make evidence-based decisions to provide advice to senior team members on cost estimates. You will contribute to process reform and automation activities, including assisting with the simplification and improvement of the team’s work practices and processes. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities are required for this role.
