Counter Manager, La Prairie

A very exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and dynamic luxury Manager to join La Prairie - the number 1 luxury skincare house in the beauty industry.

We are currently recruiting for a 38 hour per week - Full Time - Counter Manager leading our flagship store in David Jones Bourke Street Melbourne.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading successful teams and businesses with a demonstrated background in managing counters or boutiques in the luxury segment for beauty, fashion or accessories.

La PrairieCounter Managers are responsible for leading by example, achieving retail sales and delivering key performance indicators for their counters. They also focus on recruiting new clients to the brand via excellence in service via on and off counter events. 

The Key Accountabilities of the role include the following:

Sales, Team Co-ordination and Management

Effectively lead, motivate and support your team of Beauty Advisors to achieve and exceed target:

• Lead by example by achieving sales goals
• Motivate your team of consultants (5-person team)
• Passionate about skincare and beauty
• Ensure compliance of processes and CRM requirements

Business Awareness and Administration

To be fully aware of individual and account performance against target and within department:

• Complete a weekly business plan to be reviewed with Retail Manager
• Complete all paperwork and administration required accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure the counter is spotlessly clean and well maintained at all times

Communication

• Ensure all information from La Prairie is communicated to your counter team
• Provide regular feedback to your Retail Manager on issues affecting business performance
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with all store based colleagues and management
• Outstanding personal image and presentation standards in line with La Prairie guidelines

Applicants for this position should have the following skills and experience:

• Experience of working in the luxury industry, either in beauty, fashion or accessories
• Experience of managing a team, providing clear and honest feedback to ensure the team exceeds expectations
• Driven to exceed KPI's  
• Dedicated to delivering a memorable client experience
• Is client-centric at all times
• Professional, polished and friendly communication style 
• Passionate about beauty, with a strong interest in skincare
