Based in the bayside suburbs of Melbourne, this leading supplier of quality timber and building supplies to the Trade requires the service of an experienced Customer Service/Counter Sales/Hardware Assistant to join this very successful organisation.
About the role
Due to their continued success they now require the services of an Assistant Manager to assist the current manager with all duties and challenges involved with the day to day running of their building supplies business.
This includes assisting customers over the counter, answering incoming calls and managing and visiting some major customers on site from time to time.
The role will ideally suit someone that is looking to further develop and grow a slaes career.
Skills & experience
As the ideal candidate and to make the transition as smooth as possible, you will possess the following key attributes:
- Previous customer experience within a building materials/hardware supplier
- The ability to build rapport with people at all levels
- Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
- Good attention to detail
- Be a team player at all times with a ‘hands on” approach
