About the team
The Creative and Content (C&C) team forms an integral part of TEQ’s marketing division whilst also serving as the global organisation’s in-house creative agency. Responsible for bringing the Queensland brand to life, C&C delivers compelling consumer-facing Creative and Content across TEQ’s owned and paid channels. In addition, C&C supports TEQ’s diverse business units to craft content that serves their B2B and B2C requirements, all while ensuring brand integrity as trusted brand guardians.

About the role
The Creative and Content Leader provides leadership and strategic content direction on whole of state consumer- and trade-targeted marketing initiatives. The role leads a small team of creative specialists and oversees the development, distribution and optimisation of content across Queensland's owned and paid channels to ensure brand consistency and success in meeting business objectives. 

This position is a maternity leave backfill until 18 July 2025.
 


Key duties

  • Lead, coach and inspire a team. 
  • Oversee the development and implementation of content marketing plans, stepping in to execute when needed.
  • Project manage and implement content initiatives and projects.
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships with key industry stakeholders to increase awareness and utilisation of digital content opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with creative agencies and work collaboratively to maximise opportunities and resolve problems.
  • Manage and monitor the budget to ensure maximum effectiveness. 
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on all activities and initiatives undertaken.

For this role, we will consider your:

  • Ability to lead and coach a team to deliver successful Creative and Content outcomes and the ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Creative experience in a professional environment, including but not limited to writing and editing copy, producing video and photography shoots, implementing SEO content recommendations.  
  • Ability to interpret and apply consumer insights, research results, media performance analytics and SEO principles to develop and optimise content.
  • Experience briefing external agencies to deliver brand-aligned content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, delivering to varying deadlines with competing priorities, budget management and evaluating and reporting on projects.
  • Experience developing content plans that align to the organisation’s strategic plan and marketing strategy.
