Find out more about us and our purpose.Your Opportunity Mission Australia's Triple Care Farm is a residential alcohol and other drugs (AOD) program to help young people aged 16-24 to manage their withdrawal and recovery from alcohol and other drug use. The program is located on 110 acres in the NSW Southern Highlands. The withdrawal program supports young people for up to 28 days, providing supervised withdrawal and a range of holistic supports and therapies. The residential rehabilitation program is an 18-bed program. The treatment model is a 12-week holistic psychosocial rehabilitation program based on harm minimisation and health promotion. This 12-week program is followed up with 6 months community aftercare to help young people to sustain change upon return to their community. Our Youth Workers act as an appropriate role whilst maintaining an orderly residence where young people learn to live with others and develop appropriate living skills. The Youth Workers are also responsible for providing sport and recreation activities that support young people to engage in the program. The Creative Arts program develops a young person's creativity, self -expression, esteem and communication through art. You will facilitate a program of workshops to support the artistic development of students. Your key responsibilities will be to:Provide support and supervision to young people participating in the program.Educate young people through programs relating to interpersonal and living skills.Respond to any incidents and making an accurate report of eventsSupport young people maintain facilities and complete meal preparation.Contribute to case planning-monitoring meetings with the Case CoordinatorMaintain residential files ensuring records, progress notes are filed correctly.Support participants to maintain acceptable standards of participant conduct.Resolve participant complaints or refer them to supervisor as required.Supervise young people when attending any off-site activities.Requirements for Success: Relevant qualification or experience in working with youth in the community.Knowledge of mental health issues, substance use treatment and working with youth.Demonstrated sound interpersonal and communication skills.Understanding of adolescent mental health issues and duty of careFirst Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.Current NSW Drivers LicenceEvidence of full Covid 19 VaccinationBefore starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
