Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Digital, the Creative Directoris responsible for the overall visual identity of Universal Store’s brand and marketing including managing and producing Universal Store’s end to end creative output based on marketing briefs, managing the creative team, and ensuring the brand is maintained as an aspirational and market leading youth retail fashion destination.
Using an ‘in-house agency’ model, the Creative Director manages the end-to-end creative process for Universal Store and drives the conceptualisation and delivery of creative for campaign and content photoshoots based on briefs from the Marketing team. The Creative Director manages the creative team through pre-production, creative direction of photoshoots, post-production to delivery and creative reporting.
You’ll be responsible for
- Developing unique and aspirational creative concepts that meet the brief and execute the brand vision.
- Driving original creative to stay ahead of the curve and market.
- Collaborating with Product, Marketing, E-Commerce, and other teams to ensure creative and styling requirements meet business goals and objectives.
- Look for new and innovative ways to execute creative.
- Ensure team is appropriately resourced and structured for ever changing business and creative requirements.
- Develop your team’s capabilities and provide leadership and guidance to the team enabling them to expand their skillset for the benefit of the business.
You’ll bring
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Creative producing national campaign level content for a national brand.
- Strong Leadership capability with experience in managing teams.
- Experience creating national-level campaign content.
- Highly developed creative thinker with strategic lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design, Creative Industries, or relevant area.
- Expertise in relevant technology and systems to produce creative such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience creating national campaign level content.
- Strong aptitude for social media content creation and print media content creation.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Big picture thinking and vision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent prioritisation and delegation capabilities.
