Role Overview
This Credit Controller will report directly into the Finance Manager and will be responsible for a diverse and extensive portfolio of customers. You will conduct required credit checks on new customers and ensure credit and collection policies are followed. This Credit Controller will oversee the collection of customer accounts and reconcile complex month-end accounts whilst managing the credit function in its entirety.
Responsibilities
- Conduct credit checks on new customers
- Manage a ledger of over 1000 accounts
- End to end credit position working to varied terms
- Collection of accounts via phone and email
- Resolve problems in relation to invoice payments
- Ensure credit and collection policies are followed
- Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders
- Reconcile complex month-end accounts
- Monitor debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO
- Creating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will present with a minimum of 3 years' experience working as a full function Credit Controller. You will have managed high-volume ledgers end to end, and be happy to collect/ negotiate payment plans via phone to adhere to relevant terms. You will be passionate about credit and providing a seamless experience for your customer to ensure payment delivery.
You have exceptional communication and negotiation skills whilst also being a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be looking to continue your career within credit and be able to hit the ground running quickly.
