As a crew we are focused on enhancing the customer experience, to be the #1 business lender in Australia.See yourself in our teamThe Business Credit Risk Strategy Centre of Excellence is responsible for developing automated credit strategies that provide the best lending experience for our customers, within risk appetite. We build credit strategies to support the automation of business lending, in-life processes and arrears management.We use data, analytics, risk management practices and commercial acumen to build strategies that provide the best risk-reward outcome.In this roleAs a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for developments in credit strategy, automated decisioning and portfolio monitoring of Business Lending products. As well as support wider Business Banking projects with Credit Risk analytics, insight, reporting and controls.You will be responsible for observing developing trends, leading analytical deep dives and identifying new opportunities. You will maintain and develop portfolio monitoring tools while working with your stakeholders to drive change that optimises business return while maintaining great customer outcomes.The right candidate will be analytical and curious, with an attention to detail. They take pride in their work, going the extra mile to provide high quality output. They will be self-reliant and driven, taking ownership of their work.Key responsibilitiesAccountability of the delivery of new and existing business lending Credit Risk strategies for Business LendingManipulating complex data to investigate developing trends and draw insight from dataUsing hypothesis led analytics to assess portfolio performance, and formulate initiatives that generate business and customer valueUsing data to assist management and project stakeholders across the business with decision makingDeveloping and maintaining effective controls that ensure our credit strategies and processes operate safely within agreed tolerances and meet our risk and governance obligationsReporting, escalating and remediating issues in a timely manner and in line with the Group’s operational risk processes, ensuring risk issues and actions are appropriately managedAdhering to the . The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people.We’re interested in hearing from people whoAre able to communicate complex concepts into simplified messages for stakeholdersAre comfortable working independently with a sound problem-solving mindsetHave 1-2 years in Credit Risk or similar experience (e.g. analytics)Are proficient in data analytics tools eg: R/Python/SAS/SQL, and MS SuiteProven ability to work with large data sets to gather insightsExperience in using data driven analytics to develop insights, reporting and recommendationsAbility to understand complex problems and take a structured approach to solvePreferred degree in relevant discipline (Economics, Statistics, Maths, Actuarial, Finance, Engineering or Sciences)Working with usWe support our people with at least half your time each month connecting in the Sydney office, allowing for flexibility in the remaining time.We have many other flexible working options available including changing start and finish times.
