Customer & Market Insights Specialist - Part-Time or Full-Time
About the role and team
We have a part-time or full-time opportunity for a Customer and Market Insights Specialist to join the Group Marketing Team for 6 months. Reporting into the Head of Customer Insights and Marketing Performance you will coordinate, plan, develop and deliver customer and market insight solutions into Group marketing that inform strategy development, marketing execution, and prioritisation of operational activities across the organisation in Consumer, Business and Agribusiness divisions.
Collaborating closely with the Customer and Market Insights Manager, Data Insights team, Digital Marketing, Group Marketing, and key internal stakeholders to help inform strategy development, campaign planning, and the testing/validation of marketing communications. No two days will be the same as your work will cover diverse areas of research, including both qualitative and quantitative customer and market data sets.
Your expert analytic skills will see you derive deep insights and recommendations that you will present, telling a story with the data and being able to talk to your findings in detail.
Ideally you will be familiar with survey platforms (Qualtrics, Survey Monkey or equivalent), and have experience in the customer market research space. Most importantly you’ll be a strong communicator who enjoys being a trusted advisor to stakeholders, and who wants a role with ownership and the opportunity to explore business outcomes.
This role will be based in one of our main office locations in Melbourne, Bendigo, Adelaide, Sydney or Brisbane for the days that you’re in the office, noting that hybrid ways of working are core to how we operate today.
About you
As a Customer and Market Insights Specialist you’ll get to:
- Take briefs, identify opportunities, and work with internal data sets of external partners to provide customer and Market Insights to address stakeholder requests
- Create and build surveys and customer insight engagement programs to support stakeholder requests
- Utilise existing data sources to provide customer and Market Insights
- Develop and present recommendations to the Customer Marketing teams and key stakeholders
- Provide regular and ad hoc reporting that support Customer Marketing teams and internal stakeholder requests
- Work collaboratively to support the group marketing teams in optimising marketing outcomes using data insights and analysis
- Manage and optimise external subscriber relationships to deliver required market and customer data sources
To be successful in the role, you'll have:
- Prior experience within a market research team, analytics team, and insights or related industry
- The ability to communicate complex quantitative and qualitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
- A strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative market research approaches
- Demonstrated experience collating information and drawing trends or insights relevant to an audience
- Proven capabilities performing data mining and/or analysis across customer data from disparate sources and data models
- Experience in designing and executing market research surveys, interviews, focus groups and other research methodologies
- Proven Market research analysis experience, ideally working in a regulated industry
- Demonstrated experience in analytical problem solving and working with large data sets
- Strong software skills across Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe
- Good experience in presenting to stakeholders
- Working knowledge of data structures and statistical data analysis
- Experience working with data visualisation tools
