We have a great opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills as a Brand Champion who is unafraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into providing top notch Customer Service to our customers. 

You’ll be tasked with identifying the needs of both existing and new customers. You will also be providing accurate and up to date information on Gateway’s products and ensuring that we keep our customers at the centre of everything we do.

About the role:

For the successful candidate, you’ll be joining a dynamic team led by a supportive manager who is committed to providing full training, coaching, and mentoring.  Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Providing excellent service and assisting customers with their banking needs
  • Promoting our award-winning products and services
  • Proactively following up all opportunities to retain or upgrade existing business including loans, deposits and memberships

Following initial training, your working hours are expected to be 9.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday. While this is a contract role to meet an anticipated short-term need, should it be of interest to you, we would be happy to discuss suitability for any permanent vacancies that arise during the contract term.

About you:

What would a suitable candidate have by way of skills and experience?

  • An understanding of transactional banking processes and products
  • Exposure to the consumer loan application process (desirable)
  • Natural rapport building and great listening skills
  • A can-do attitude and love working in a team

This opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about service, enjoys being self-reliant and knows how to work well within a team focused on customer satisfaction. You will get exposure to the Consumer and Home lending process as well as an understanding of how each department works within Gateway to better equip you with helping our customers and to further your own development.

What does Gateway offer?

For our part, we offer an excellent working environment, investment in training and career development programs, competitive remuneration and other benefits. 

You would be working in our super-stylish office in the Sydney CBD, which is located close to transport and the QVB shopping district. Once you have completed your training, you will have the option of working from home two - three days per week.

Our span of working hours is Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm. The expected normal hours for this position would be 9.30am to 6.00pm.
