Customer Service Consultant (200270) 

5 x Maximum Term Contract Full Time 36.25 hours per week

1 x Maximum Term Contract Part Time 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm) 

$39.99 to 42.89 Hourly rate + up to 12% super 

RCC Officers' Level 3

Your opportunity

We have multiple opportunities available for Customer Service stars to join our Integrated Customer Contact Centre (ICCC) Team. Your role will be primarily phone based in Council's Contact Centre and will include providing an exceptional customer experience to all our customers while delivering a diverse range of products and services that encompasses all areas of Council.

The ICCC Team is customer focused with teamwork being a key attribute for us to deliver high quality products and services to our customers. To help you provide the best customer experience possible, we provide specialised training and support over five weeks. All successful applicants will need to attend the five week training.

We would love to hear from you if you have: 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional telephone manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to empathise with customers’ concerns and needs.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems. Familiarity with call centre software and databases is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of local council services, policies, and procedures is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment, fostering collaboration, communication and mutual support to achieve common objectives.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality Customer Service and representing the Council positively at all times.
