Trainee Customer Service Officer - Broome
At Horizon Power, we believe in creating opportunities in our regional communities and to support this, we are offering an entry level Customer Service Officer Traineeship position for a motivated person to join our energetic team based in Kununurra.
As a trainee, you will be guided through your journey by an experienced mentor and be financially supported while you learn, with the successful applicant gaining both working experience and a Cert III qualification at the conclusion of the traineeship.
Your role will include:
• Reception duties, including assisting customers with enquiries.
• General administration duties including email correspondence, photocopying, mail, filing, updating notice boards and data entry.
• Being involved in our Community Engagement and partnership events
• Facilitating depot/office and COVID inductions.
• Coordinating property issues and work closely with assigned contractors to complete work.
• Raising Purchase Requisitions in accordance with relevant policies.
• Assisting with the preparation for Cyclones and Emergency Response after Cyclone
• Providing high levels of customer service on a rostered basis through the Horizon Power Distributed Call Centre (DCC)
• Engaging with Aboriginal and Torre Strait Islander through regular visits to communities.
• Complying with Health & Safety Policies and processes.
You will have:
• Successful completion of year 10 secondary studies.
• Experience using MS Office.
• Ability to plan, work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to deal with customers and support in conflict resolution.
• Enthusiastic with a friendly “can-do” attitude.
• Willingness to commit to the length of the traineeship.
